2012

Intrepid Platform, providing the most compact, low power nanosat avionics at the time for satellites in the 0.5U to 3U form factor operating a full-blown Linux operating system. Intrepid pushed the boundary of resource utilization on early CubeSat concepts providing more payload volume than any other platform with coarse pointing capabilities. Intrepid has since powered several university demonstrations in intelligent payload processing, solar sailing, space weather, vibration dampening, and more.

2013

Endeavour Platform, an evolution of Intrepid providing a highly integrated CubeSat avionics system supporting precision 3-axis control in a 3U and 6U CubeSat with propulsive capabilities. Endeavour pushed the 3U satellite state-of-the-art from coarse pointing, to a system capable of fine attitude control and maneuverability, enabling applications in space situational awareness, earth imaging, GPS radio occultation, radar-based earth science, and proximity operations rendezvous and docking.

2015

Tyvak launches a swarm of PROPCUBE satellites using the Intrepid platform, a 5 month turn-around from contract signing to delivery with a custom-made RF payload.

2015

Tyvak International is founded as a start up inside one of the top 3 Business incubators in Europe (i3P)

2016

Tyvak enables and coordinates vehicle launch opportunity rideshare on DigitalGlobe WV-4 mission on a ULA Atlas V rocket for the National Reconnaissance Office, successfully deploying 7 CubeSats.

2017

Tyvak develops and launches PACSCISAT, a propulsion demonstration mission for Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company, LLC. The 3U satellite met all mission objectives, and demonstrated the capability of the MAPS rocket motors and initiators. First successful performance of a controlled orbit-change maneuver on a nanosatellite platform.

2017

Tyvak develops and launches NANOACE, a risk reduction mission demonstrating rendezvous and proximity operations utilizing a precision attitude control system, propulsive maneuvers, and optical navigation. All mission objectives were met, demonstrating the on-orbit agility of small platforms.

2018

Tyvak develops and launches two CICERO satellites, a GPS Radio Occultation mission for GeoOptics collecting science quality weather and climate data with a miniaturized instrument developed by Tyvak and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The constellation is operational, and providing commercial GPS RO data GeoOptics and their customers.

2018

Tyvak provides launch integration services and two 6U NLAS deployers for the MarCO mission, the first 6U satellite mission to Mars for the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Tyvak provides a 6U NLAS deployer and launch integration support for the Rocket Lab ‘It’s Business Time’ mission. On-board was another CICERO satellite, adding to the GPS Radio Occultation constellation for GeoOptics, delivering customer data in record time. You can watch the launch here. With this launch, Tyvak is delivering 1200 independently verified GPS radio occultations per day, meeting the NOAA commercial buy objective.

Tyvak provides 3U RailPods and launch integration services for the NASA ELaNa-19 mission successfully launched by Rocket Lab. You can watch the launch here.

MRK2 Avionics Platform begins production. MRK2 is Tyvak’s next generation avionics system designed for modularity, redundancy, improved radiation tolerance, and engineered for high-volume production at reduced cost. MRK2 allows for standard systems like the Trestles 6U / 12U and Mavericks MicroSat (~90kg), or custom systems designed to support unique mission requirements.

2018

Tyvak International is recognized as Start Up of the Year 2018 with a team of 25+ staff. Relocated to new 1,000 square-meter facility including cleanrooms, AI&T, mechanical and RF labs.
